“TARGET OF LIES”

Labour Party Said To Be Misrepresented By Telegraph—Press Association. Mastertoil, January 27. Allegations that with an election in the oiling the Labour Party was being made the target of gross misrepresentations and lies were made by Mr. J. Robertson, M.P. fo r Masterton, speaking at a meeting addressed to-night by the Rev. A. 11.- Xordmeyer, M.P. for On maru. ‘■Every weapon will be used to defeat us at the elections,” Mr. Robertson said, “and an Indication of what is to come may be seen in certain journals. Had it not been for the fact that we have been able to broadcast Parliamentary debates, and if the people had not had the money to install wireless sets in their homes, I believe that the whole of the people of this country would have been grossly mislead as to what our party has been doing during the past two years. After comparing what they hoard over the air with what appeared in I lie following day's papers I believe that the people have lost most of their faith in the accuracy- of -Pressreports as far as the activities of the Labour Party are concerned.”
