A bowls match between Australian States and teams representing the rest of the Empire was begun at Rockdale, but was stopped by rain after about nine heads had been played. A Fiji rink, comprising Benjamin, Rourke, Lindsay, and McLean, was at that stage up 9 to 4 against a New Zealand rink consisting of Nichol, Cumming, Bray, and Robinson., ’
