DANISH FEAR
German Air Bases On Baltic Coast
STRATEGIC SITUATIONS London, January 18. The diplomatic correspondent of the "Daily Telegraph” understands that discussion has been aroused in Copenhagen by Germany’s recent redisposition to establish military aerodromes an'd aircraft factories along the Baltic coastline. The sites chosen are of strategic value, being the most remote points from those countries from which air attacks might be expected. Fears are being expressed lest Germany in time of war might seize areas in Denmark suitable for air bases, on the ground of forestalling any other country which might wish to use Danish territory as a jumping-off place to attack Germany.
Danish opinion is divided as to whether precautionary military measures should be taken.
