Mornington Events Although conditions were ideal for play on the Mornington links during the week-end. the scoring generally was much below what is usually expected at this time of the year. In the fourball bestball bogey, ; L. Cocker and A. A. McLean, 5 up, led the field, and each gained 3 points in the Summer Cup event. The next best cards were: AV. Taylor and R. W. Williams. 3 up; T. A. Johnston and A. V. O’Brien. T. O’Kelly and T. C. Johnston, R. Pattison and L. J. Evans, E. F. Andrews and F. D. Andrews. W. Ryan and J. Ward, 2 up. A stableforri event was won by W. Taylor (5), 34 points, the next best cards being those of T. O'Kelly (8), 32; J. Ward (IS) and G. l‘>tall (15). 31. The Summer Cup competition next week-end will be an 18-holes bogey handicap and an 18-holes stableford event will also be played.
