Dora’s Capsize Calls For

Resail

Sailed in ideal weather, three yacht races took place at Paremata on Sunday. Owing to a capsize, however, one was called off and resailed later. This was the first race of the day, for first class and Idle Along centreboarders. Xixen, second away and well handled, was holding a lead from a handicap of 6}min. Dora, Lois, Kotuku and lanthe.were tight; ing out the second place when Dora went over, and the race had to be abandoned. J. Coleman, sailing Noleeu with a twominute handicap, gave the rest of the fleet no chance to catch him in the Takapuna class. Results: Noleen (2miu.t, 1: Robin (2min.l, 2: Twink (Imin.), 3. Also started: Marti (scr.). Wairoa (1 min.).

The race in which Dora capsized was afterward resailed. Vixen this time had the misfortune to pull a chain-plate off, and had to retire after covering only about a quarter of the course.
