Mostly Fair To Fine, But Unsettled In Western Districts.
Following is the weather report and forecast issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, for the 24 hours ending 3 p.m. to-day: — n t i i An anti-cyclone extends from the north Tasman Sea to beyond the North island, while a series of westerly depressions is moving across the south lasman Sea and the South Island. „ , _ , Variable winds at first over the northern half of the North Island; otherwise northerly to westerly winds prevailing; force light to moderate generally, but gradually freshening about and south of Cook Strait. Seas rather rough in parts of the Cook and Foveaux Straits areas; otherwise slight to moderate in New Zealand waters, but later rising south ot Cape
