In the Sheffield Sliield match against Queensland Victoria scored 4GI for six in the first innings,, declared (Hassett 90, Pearson 63 not out; Wyeth, two for 121, Govan, 2 for 92).
Queensland, first innings 150 (Baker *l7, Brown 19, Tallon 12; Fleet wood. Smith, five for 00, McCormick, three for 19). Hassett is regarded ns strongly in tho running for the English tour. The young fast bowler, G. Lueh, of Sydney, who did well against the Englishmen, has received a good offer to join Sir Julien Cahn's team, and is practically certain to accept.
