Motor-car Struck By Train

A three-year-old child, Betty Denise Davies, was killed instantly, and her father, Mr. William Davies, millhand, Ngongotaha, was injured, when a ear in which they were travelling was struck at the Ngongotaha railway crossing by the afternoon RotoruaFrankton .Junction train. The car was carried some distance by the engine, and was completely wrecked, the child being picked up dead. Although Mr. Davies was admitted to liospitul, his injuries are not serious.
Mr. Davies was going to the railway yards from the township and apparently did not hear the approach of the train.
