LITTLE ALTERATION IN SHEEP VALUES Dominion Special Service. Feilding, December 17. A heavy yarding of run cattle at the Feilding stock sale to-day largely failed to find buyers, though many sales of pens passed at auction were made afterward by private treaty. Fat sheep values did not show much change, although better prices were recorded for very prime hoggets. A couple of pens of maiden ewes also brought good figures, but for the rest late rates ruled. Store wethers started well, the demand being fairly keen, but fat cattle, which were in light condition, met a quiet eale. Dairy stock were unchanged on recent quotations. Prices ranged as follows Fat sheep: Extra prime hoggets, 28/6 to 29/3, prime 24/2 to 25/-, average lines 23/6, light 22/6 to 23/-; best wethers 25/1, others 23/- to 24/4; prime ewes 18/- to 19/9, second grade, 18/- to 18/7, light 16/8 to 17/9; prime maiden ewes 24/- to 24/6; good b.f. two-tooths 26/-, lighter sorts 23/7 to 24/5, plain 22/6 to 23/-; lambs 16/-. Carterton Prices Dominion Special Service. Carterton, December 17. At the Carterton sale to-day a fair entry was submitted. Sheep made late rates. Cattle were very firm. Porkers and baconers met with a dull sale, only one buyer operating. Weaners and slips made late rates. Dannevirke Sale Dannevirke, December 17. The Hawke’s Bay Farmers’ Co-opera-tive Association disposed of a fair yarding of stock under the hammer at the Dannevirke sale on Thursday. Prices ranged as follows: — Fat two and four-tooth ewes, £l/3/6; two-tooth wethers, £l/1/3 to £l/3/-; two-tooth ewes (small)., £l/5/-. At the Palmerston North horse fair yesterday there was spirited competition for a special line of Clydesdales from Canterbury that came forward in splendid condition. The line was cleared at prices ranging from £35 to £65 (for a six-year-old draught gelding, broken to all work), -Prices realised are as follows :—

Poultry was also in heavy supply, 2000 birds being disposed of. Prices generally for all lines were considerably cheaper, due to the large entry.
