Championship Games The two A grade games played iu the Wellington water polo championship last night at Thorndon Baths resulted in easy victories for Lyall Bay A and Maranui. Lyall Bay A gave the Varsity team no chance, and their score of 8-0 in 15 minutes was a good performance. Maranui won decisively from Lyall Bay B, though this match was a little more even, the final score being Maranui 6, Lyall Bay B 3. Three lower grade games were played. In the first senior game the scorers for Lyall Bay A were Blakeley 2, Pelham 2, Williams 2 and Watson 2. In the Mara-nui-Lyall Bay B game Hewett scored two goals, Claridge one, Downs two and Raven one. Palmer scored two goals for Lyall Bay B and Stokes oue. The referee for all the games was Mn W. Gerrie. The results of the lower grade games were as follows: —
B grade: Hataitai B 1, Lyall Bay B 0; Worser Bay 2, Maranui 2; Wellington B defaulted to Y.M.C.A.
O grade: Hataitai 2 4 Varsity 2, Because of summer holidays there will be no further championship games till January 20 next.
