UNLAWFUL USE OF WATER
Lower Hutt Court Cases A number of Lower Hutt residents were dealt with by Mr. H. P. Lawry, S.M., at the Magistrates’ Court, Lower Hutt, yesterday for permitting water to run through a hose which was not manually operated. The following were each fined 10/-, with costs 10/-: Bay Can Raymond V. Brown, George Bull. John C. Carter, Francis R. Jamieson, Richard .1. Diggins, Jack Knight. William John Nicholls. Robert Richmond. John _S. Swan, Errol G. Taylor. Gordon F. Wilson and Fergus K. McFarlane were ordered to pay costs only, 10/-. Motoring Offences For not carrying wiirrniits of fitness George Fernandos and Anthony Hoggard were each fined £l. with costs 10/-, and Godfrey Wilson. Wellington, was fined--10/-, with costs 10/-. Fernandos was fined £l, with costs 10/-, for motorcycling at night without a light. Hoggard was tim'd £l, with costs 10/-, for having insufficient lights. False Statement
Richard Walter Bulloek was fined £5, with costs 10/-, for malting a false statement as to his earnings to obtain benefit tinder the Employment Promotion Act. On two similar charges lie was ordered to pay costs 10/- in each case.
