Snowfalls In Scotland And Northern England

Many parts of the British. Isles are in the'grip of severe wintry weather and in Northern England and Scotland many heavy snowfalls to-day isolated several villages and brought traffic on country roads to a standstill. .Scotland experienced an exceptionally severe blizzard last night. Caught in one of the worst snowstorms in Scotland, 200 passengers on the Edinburgh-London Express were snowbound for seven hours during the night between Edinburgh and Carlisle.
