SYDNEY WOOL SALES FIRM Further Advance; Japan Active By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. (Received December 11, 9.30 p.m.) Sydney, December 14. At the wool sales to-day 8172 bales were offered, of which 7690 were sold at auction; also 1081 bales were sold privately. The market was again o per cent, higher for all descriptions, the greatest appreciation being on shnfty top-making wools. In addition to keen Home and Continental buying, the Japanese continued to operate on a keen and liberal scale. A line of greasy merino sold to 26}d.
