Charged with deserting from the vessel Itangitata on August 2t> at Wellington. David Alexander Sharp, painter, aged 23, appeared before Mr. .1. 11. Luxford, S.M., in the Magistrate’s Court, Wellington, on Saturday. It was stated that. Sharp, who had surrendered to the police when he became aware that there was a warrant out for his arrest, had obtained a job in the Dominion at £5/12/6 a week. Sharp said hat he had wanted to come to New Zeaand nnd settle down. He was convicted nd ordered to come up for sentence if ailed upon within 12 months.
