Easing The Taxpayer’s Burden
Sir,—l wish to protest against the proposal by the Victoria College Council that school teachers should be trained by the university. If this were done, we would probably have a better standard ol education in our school teachers an/l money would be saved the country. This last point is absolutely unthinkable, and I wish to protest against anything being done which would lighten the burden on our much-harassed taxpayers. —I am, etc., SQUANDER MANIA. November 26.
