Short, and has been maintained at a very high standard, winning many important awards. The year before last the highest-priced ram at the "Castierock" dispersal sale was added to the stud, together with 55 selected ewes from this famous southern stud. The "Moahono" Southdown Stud was founded a quarter of a century ago with specially selected ewes of the most fashionable strains. Since the flock was founded, ewes from the stud of Mr. C. E. Billinghurst have been added, whilst Killeymoon sires, bred from imported blood selected from Messrs.
