WOMEN’S CRICKET

Weekly Meeting And Saturday i Fixtures

The weekly meeting of the executive of the Wellington Women’s Cricket Association was held last night at the Y.W.C.A. rooms. A letter from the New Zealand Women’s Cricket Council regarding a tour proposed by the New South Wales association was read and discussed. The council notified that one two-day and two one-day matches were proposed to be played between January 22 and February 11. It was decided to write to the council expressing disappointment at the itinerary arranged, since no matches were to be played during the first week. Since nominations for the team are to be in the hands of the selectors not later than November 30, it was decided to instruct all clubs to send in the names of eligible players as soon as possible. Sirs. H. Boulter was unanimously elected a vice-president of the New Zealand Women’s Cricket Council. Fixtures for Saturday. •Senior: College Old Girls v. Wellington, Prince of Wales 2; Kilbirnie v.
