Manor Park Club It has been decided to hold a tournament on the Manor Park golf links during Labour Day week-end, this being open to members only. The events set down on the official programme have now been altered and on Saturday an 18-hole stroke Qualifying round will be played. Players will then be drawn for match play in Hights of eight players each, the first and second rounds to be played on Sunday and the finals on Monday morning. Women members will also take part io the tournament, and, with the exception of those on the limit allowance, will receive two extra strokes in all events. Additional competitions have also been arranged, commencing on Saturday with an 18-hole stroke handicap. On Sunday morning a stableford bogey match will be ■played, on Sunday afternoon an 18-hole bogey match, and on Monday morning a fourball bogey. The tournament will be concluded with a J.L.B. one club. team’s match on Monday afternoon. Entries will be received at the clubhouse on Saturday. Competitors are advised to commence the qualifying round as early as possible, and this may be played Saturday morning or afternoon. Manor Park Ladies’ Club On Saturday an extra L.G.U. round will be played in conjunction with the qualifying round for the Labour week-end tournament. Players are to arrange ’their own partners. Shandon Ladies’ Club On Saturday the following Shandon Ladies' Golf Club members will play a fourball (pairs) competition:—Miss Robinson and Mrs. Ryan v. Miss Hodgins and Miss Souter, Miss Smith and Miss Road v. Mrs. Low and Miss Levy, Mrs. Burke and Miss Sidford v. Mrs. Hipkins and Mrs. Findlay. Other pairs will arrange their own games. The following is the draw for an L.G.U. medal round to be played at Shandon on Sunday:— „„ „ Seniors: Mrs. Mantel! and Mrs. Ryan, Miss Hodgins and Miss Robinson, Mrs. Frazer and Miss Campbell, Mrs. Burke and Mrs. Evison. On Monday a stableford bogey competition will be played, players arranging their own partners. Mornington Ladies’ Club Last week-end, the first round of the Mornington Ladles’ Golf Club championship resulted as follows: —Mrs. Barrett beat Mrs. Sly, 7 and G; Mrs. Andrews be.at Miss Simpson, 6 and -1; Mrs. McNabb beat Mrs. Bllderbeck, 1 up: Miss Robertson beat Miss Harris, 3 and 2. Miss Clark won Mrs. McNabb's trophy with 1 down. The draw for the second round of the championship to be played on Sunday is as follows:—Mrs. Barrett v. Mrs. Andrews, Mrs. McNabb v. Miss Robertson.
