WELLINGTON CITY EMPOWERING AND AMENDMENT. * XTOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that it 11 te the intention of the Wellington Citv Council to introduce in the present Session of Parliament the Wellington City Empowering and Amendment Bill. The objects and purport of the Bill are as follows: — 1. To enable the Wellington City Council to make chargee for admission to the Basin Reserve eports-ground for sixty days in any one year and for admission to any other sports-ground for thirty days in any one year, the chargee for admission not to exceed two shillings for any person. 2. To provide that the Council may invest Accident Funds established under the Wellington City Trading Departments’ Reserve and Renewal Funds Act 1017 in:—(a) New Zealand Government securities: (b) On deposit in any Bank in New Zealand: (c) in State Advances Corporation securities: (d) in the Post Office Savings Bank: (e) In any other securities that may be authorised by the Governor-General-in-Council. 3. To extend by five years the period within which two Loans for tramways (Raroa Road and Sutherland Road, Melrose) authorised by' a poll of the ratepayers, may be borrowed. A copy of the above Bill has been deposited in the Magistrates’ Court, Lambton Quay, Wellington, and also at the Town Clerk’s Office, Town Hall, Cuba Street, Wellington, and such copies are there open for public inspection for a period of three full weeks from the first publication of this advertisement.
