BARBER’S FUNNY STORY
Customer Who Laughed Too Heartily Delhi, August 3. Sued by a customer whose face he cut while shaving him, a native barber pleaded that he had told so humorous a story that the customer rocked with laughter and so got cut. In dismissing the claim, the magistrate said it was a time-worn practice for barbers to tell witty stories to mitigate the customer’s ordeal. If anyone was to blame it was the claimant for not restraining his laughter.
