NEGRO ATHLETES
Team of Champions May Tour London, August 3. Cornelius Johnson, the high jump record'-holder, is collaborating with Jesse Owens in order Iq form an allblack athletic team. Johnson’s object is to make enough money to marry his 19-year-old sweetheart, Miss Ethel Robinson, Los Angeles. He is confident of making a fortune with the support of Johnny Woodruff, Phil Edwards, Ralph Metcalfe, and other negroes. Johnson also wants to clear 7ft. at the International Students’ Games in Paris at the end of August.
