CHARGE WITHDRAWN
Alleged Breaking and Entering No evidence whs offered by the police when James Verdi Gestro, cheese factory hand, aged 20 (Mr. A. J. Mazengarb), and Mervyn Milton Monaghan, motor driver, aged 17, appeared on remand iu the Magistrate’s Court, Wellington, yesterday before Mr. XV. F. Stilwell, S.M., charged with breaking and entering the warehouse of 11. B. Craighead, on July 17, with intent to commit theft. The charge was withdrawn. On a charge of receiving a stolen cheque for £2/10/-, knowing it to have been dishonestly obtained, they were remanded until Friday, bail of £25 each being allowed in their own recognisance.
