Port Brisbane Outward Bound

The Port Line has received cabled advice that the steamer Port Brisbane left New York on July 31 for New Zealand. She will call at Philadelphia en route, and brings cargo for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. The Port Brisbane is expected to reach Auckland about August 29.

KENT’S DEPARTURE. The Federal steamer Kent Is now expected to leave Auckland finally on Saturday for Southampton, London and M est Coast ports of the United Kingdom. Rain has delayed the completion of her Homeward loading at Auckland.

MELBOURNE MARU AT KOBE. The O.S.K. motor-ship Melbourne Marn, which left Lyttelton on June 29 for Japan via Cebu, Manila, Hong-Kong and Shanghai, arrived at Kobe on July 31, according to cabled advice received by her agents, the Federal Company. RANGITIKI HOME-BOUND. The New Zealand Shipping Company’s motor-liner Hangitiki sailed finally from Wellington yesterday afternoon for London, via the Panama Canal. MATAKANA’S MOVEMENTS. The Shaw, Savill steamer Matakana, loading to-day at Wanganui, is now due at Wellington to-day week, and will leave on August 13 for Lyttelton, her final port. Thence she is to. sail for Southampton, London, Avonmouth, Liverpool and Glasgow, via Montevideo and Teneriffe. WAIMANA DISCHARGING. At present discharging Liverpool cargo at the King’s Wharf, Wellington, the Shaw Savill steamer Wiamana is to leave to-day for Lyttelton, Dunedin and Bluff. PORT GISBORNE ARRIVES. The Port Line’s Port Gisborne arrived at Bluff yesterdav from Launceston. She is to load Homeward there, and at Timaru, Lyttelton, Wanganui and Wellington, being due here on August 19 and sailing finally on August 21 for London, via Cape Horn, TANKER MARIT FROM OEBAN. The Union Company has been advised by cable that the tanker Marit left Oeban, Sumatra, on July 31 with fuel oil for Wellington. She is due here on August 21, and will discharge all her cargo at this port. MONOWAI FROM SYDNEY. The Union Company liner Monowai left Sydney yesterday for Wellington, and is due here on Saturday. After completion ot discharge she will pay off. MAUNGANUI’S CRUISE. On her cruise to the Pacific Islands, the Union liner Maunganui left Auckland yesterday. She is due at Rarotonga on August 7, Papeete on August 9, Moorea on August 11, Boro Bora on August 12, Apia on August 16. Vavau on August 20, Nukualofa on August 21, and back at Auckland on August 25. lIAURAKI FOR AUSTRALIA. The Union trans-Paeific freighter Hauraki, which has been discharging Pacific Coast cargo at New Zealand ports, left Dunedin yesterday for Melbourne, where she is due on Sunday. She will proceed to Sydney, thence 'Suva, Lautoka, Suva again, Papeete, San Pedro and Vancouver. WAIRUNA COMING. The Union trans-Paclfic" freighter Wairuna is scheduled to leave Los Angeles today for New Zealand via Papeete. She is due at Auckland on August 26. and will discharge at Napier, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and Australian ports. KAIWARRA FROM NEWCASTLE. The Union freighter Kalwarra, running in the company’s intercolonial carrying service, arrived at Wellington yesterday from Newcastle, and is berthed at the Railway Wharf for discharge. MAUI POMARE TO-DAY. ■ The Government motor-ship Maui Pomare is now due at Wellington early this morning from Lyttelton, to complete discharge of her Islands cargo. She will berth at No.- 14 Queen's Wharf, and will sail again next Tuesday for Apia and Niue Island. LONDON’S SHIPPING. During the week ended June 4. 1409 vessels representing 1,154,362 net register tons, used the port of London. Of these 557 vessels (598.2G0 net register tons) were to and from Empire and foreign ports, aud 852 vessels (256,102 net register tons) were engaged in coastwise traffic. The arrivals included five meat cargoes, viz.: Three from Australia and two from New Zealand, comprising 328,000 carcases of lamb and mutton, 34,000 packages of beef, quantities of pork, rabbits and sundries. Twenty timber-laden vessels docked in the Stirrev Commercial and India and Millwall Docks, with 22,000 tons of softwood.
