EXECUTION BY GAS
New Law Operates Kovno, July 29. The first, poison gtr, s execution under the new law was carried out. A man who was gassed for murdering five Jews died in eight minutes. The Lithuanian Government, acting on the recommendation of legal and inedieal experts, promulgated a law early this year introducing poison gas for excutions on the ground that if is more humane than shooting or hanging.
