For oatmeal crisps you will need Jib. flour, 3joz. butter, -}lb. rolled oats, pinch bicarbonate soda, -1-1 egg, -J teaspoon baking powder, 3oz. sugar. Sift together the flour, baking powder and soda. Rub in butter. Add sugar and oats and mix to a stiff paste with beaten egg. Roil out thinly and cut into shapes. Put on a floured baking tin, and cook in a slow oven for 20 minutes.
