WOBURN CROQUET CLUB
Social to Aid Funds Mrs. Mclntosh and Mrs. B. Barker were the hostesses at a successful bridge and “500” party held at Mrs. Barker’s residence, White’s Line, in aid of £he Woburn Croquet Club. The rooms were prettily decorated with spring flowers, and the huge fires created a cosy atmosphere. A delicious afternoon tea was served. Among those present were Mesdames Lambert, Roberts, Sutcliffe, Monks, Walker, Wallace, Peck, Alexander, Martin, Wilson, Jones, Lockett, Dufaur, Halford, Robson, Prince, J. August, L. E. August, Armstrong, Haden, Pearce, Williams (2), Elbe. Keys, Warburton, Edwards, Brown, Galvin, Batchelor, Garner, and Collins. The prizewinners were: —Bridge, Mesdames Du Faur, Martin, and Prince; “500,” Mesdames Pearce, Armstrong, and Batchelor. The president, Mrs. Lambert, thanked the hostesses for their fine effort for the club’s funds.
