BILLIARDS ASSOCIATION
Inaugural Meeting in Wellington Tin' inaugural meeting of the Welliugtou Billiard Association was held on Thursday at Billiards, Limited, showrooms. Most Wellington clubs were represented, aud a strong body was formed that will in future control billiard championship and other activities in the Wellington district. The date for the Wellington provincial amateur championship was sec for August 16, entries closing on August 9. The New Zealand championship, which this year will be held in Wellington, will begin on August 30. A meeting of official delegates from those clubs already represented in the association, and also others intending to join, will be held at the Commercial Travellers’ Club at 8 p.m., on Tuesday, to consider general business and further details in connection with the championship.
