Mr. R. T. McMillan, chairman of the Lyttelton Harbour Board, returned south last night. Tlie Hon. J. A. McCullough, M.L.0., Christchurch, returned south by last night’s steamer express. Mr. F. R. Picot, director of internal marketing, returned to 'Wellington from the south yesterday. Mr. W. Begg, chairman of the Otago Harbour Board, arrived at Wellington yesterday by the steamer express from the south. Mr. R. B. Teiiucnt, director of the Fields Division of the Department of Agriculture, returned to 'Wellington from the south yesterday. Mr. T. J. Flynn, engineer at. the Auckland office of Gollin and Co.. Pty., Ltd., left for the north last night by the Limited express. Mr. W. 11. Nicholson, secretary of the New Zealand Sheep Owners’ Federation, returned south last night by the steamer express. Mr. Claude Kingston, representing J. and M. Tait, has arrived in Wellington in connection with the initiation of the tour of Plat off’s Don Cossack Choir. Mr. 11. D. Acland, Christchurch, president of the New Zealand Sheep Owners’ Federation, returned south last night by the steamer express. Mr. C. H. Clibborn, secretary of the Lyttelton Harbour Board, returned south by last night’s steamer express after a brief visit to 'Wellington. Mr. IV. W. Mulholland, Dominion president of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union, arrived nt Wellington from the south by yesterday’s steamer express. Wing Commander L. M. Isltt, a member of the Air Board, left Wellington last night for the south by the steamer express.
Mr. John Joseph, principal of John Joseph and Co., Melbourne, left Wellington for Auckland last night by the Limited express.
Mr. D. Holderness, superintendent ‘and engineer to the Auckland Harbour Board, arrived at Wellington from the north yesterday.
Mr. H. S. Eastgate, manager of the Auckland branch of A. S. Paterson and Co., Ltd., returned north from Wellington by the Limited express last night.
Mr. M. G. Phelan, director of Phelan, Lonsdale Ltd., intends to leave for England by the Rangitiki on August 3. For the past two years Mr. Phelan has been president of New Zealand Wholesalers’ Parts Equipment Accessories and Cycle Association. He will be accompanied by Mrs. and Miss Phelan, and will return via U.S.A, in about six months.
