Temporary Settlement of Auckland Dispute By Telegraph—l’reew Association. Auckland, July 29. Under an agreement conceding slightly higher wages to tiie men concerned, the dispute over the unloading of the trawler Thomas Carroll by eight men pernianently employed to discharge cargo from the fishing vessels of Sanford Limited, was temporarily settled to-day. Unloading operations began in tiie afternoon ami work will continue. a final settlement being expected in the near future. The men hail refusd to unload the trawler on 'Wednesday night.
