Wellington.—Fine and sunny, with a moderate north-westerly breeze, which freshened somewhat iu the afternoon. Alinimum temperature ou Sunday night, 47.5 deg.; maximum yesterday, 59.3 deg.; at 3 p.m., 56.9 deg. Palmerston North.—Cold, overcast, and windy iu the morning; sunny after midday, but later again dull and ovex--cast, with a strong wind. Wanganui.—Overcast with occasional rain showers: westerly wind. Waipukurau.—Cold and threatening, with occasional bright bursts of sunshine and scattered showers in the late afternoon. Napier and Hastings.—Scattered cloud and occasional light showers. Alild in the morning, but colder afternoon temperatures. Auckland.—Showery and cold with a fresh south-westerly wind and heavy rain squalls. The barometer showed a vising tendency in the evening, and registered 29.70 inches at 6 p.m, Christclitirch. —Fine and sunny with a very light north-east breeze. The maximum iemperature was 56.2 degrees. The barometer fell during the day and registered 29.36 in. at 5 p.m. Dunedin.—A fresh south-west breeze, but the sun shone throughout the day. The maximum temperature was 59 degrees, and the barometer fell sharply to 29.40 inches.
