INFANTILE PARALYSIS
Three Wellington Cases Three positive cases of infantile paralysis were reported in Wellington yesterday. These were a boy aged nine and a half years from Lyall Bay, a boy aged 13 from Taranaki Street, and a boy aged eight and a half from Miramar, NEW ZEALAND SUMMARY Seven More Cases Following is a summary of reports received through “The Dominion” Special Service and the Press Association of the infantile paralysis position iu parts of New Zealand other than Wellington:— Wanganui: Because of a positive case of infantile paralysis from CastleclilT. the Education Board has decided to close the CastleclilT School until further notice. St. Vincent’s School, Gonvilie, has also been closed as a precautionary measure. Nelson: A second positive case of infantile paralysis has been admitted to the Nelson hospital, that of a man 21 years of age from Owen's River, a remote locality 50 miles from Nelson, where the first case was reported on Friday. Hamilton: Five cases of infantile paralysis were admitted to hospital during the week-end. The total number of Waikato eases is now 30.
