COURT OF INQUIRY OPENS
London Omnibus Strike (Received .May 4. 12.45 a.m.) London. May 3. A perfect spring day helped London’s trudgers to accept the bus strike philosophically. Tubes and trains coped with extra pressure.. The official coure of inquiry into the strike opened this morning. Mr. A. Bevin, M.l’., appearing for the men, intimated that the strikers could not regard it as an arbitration body. A solution had to be found onGhe union’s claims. He promised no to engender heat and to assist calm deliberation.
