PROVISION FOR SPORTS ACTIVITIES
Cost to City Coilncil Dominion Special Service. Palmerston North, May 3. During the past financial year the City Council agreed to a suggestion of a deputation from the ratepayers in the Hokowhitu area for the provision of a bowling green for women in that locality. Part of the domain was appropriated for the purpose, and £137/1/11 has been expended in connection with this amenity. The expenditure by the council on the municipal golf links, and which are now leased to tile Palmerston North Golfflub for a period of 10 years, has been £1498 3/6, the major portion having been paid in wages.
