Issue of Preference Shares

Australian Paper Manufacturers. Ltd is making an issue of 1.000.000 G per cent, cumulative preference shares of it each to finance expansions of operations, particularly the establishment of the paper pulp industry in Gippslnnd and the installation of new plant and machinery at on - or more of its mills in New South Wales or Victoria. The present issued capital is £1.0(10.(100 in 2,000,000 ordinary shares of ](>/-. of which -100,000 are paid to 0/7.. The whole of the new issue has been underwritten by Messrs. ,1. 11. Were and Son, who have exercised their right to the firm allotment of -10.0,000 shares, and have agreed to make 50.000 shares available for subscription by (lie staff and employees of Australian Paper Mannfncturrers, Ltd., up to 500/100 shares will be reserved for application by the Australian I’aper and Pulp Co., Ltd., and Cumberland Paper Board Mills. Ltd.. or their nominees. These .two companies own all the present capital of Australian Paper Manufacturers, Ltd. As Australasian Paper and Pulp owns about 77 per cent, of the operating company’s capital, it will have rights over about 388.00 ft of the new preference
