FAULT DEVELOPS
Crankshaft in Aorangi By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, April 20. A fault developed in the crankshaft of the inner starboard engine during the Aorangi’s passage from Sydney to Auckland, necessitating that engine being cut out. However, the vessel left on time to-day for Vancouver, where a new shaft will be fitted. It is believed that the Aorangi’s speed will be reduced to the extent of half a knot only and that with good weather she should not be more than a day late in reaching Canada.
