At Lake Waikaremoana.— One of the North Island’s most favoured scenic resorts is at Lake Waikaremoana, 40 miles north of Wairoa, in the Urewera country. With native bush sweeping right down to the water’s edge, t here are few glimpses of Ibe lake which are not burned Safely appealing. The top picture is taken front the main road looking toward the Lake House on the small bluff opposite, with a motor camp and the lauding jetties below, and lite lower picture shows the Aniwaniwa Falls, which drop toward the lake a few yards below the road.
