N.Z. ALLIANCE
Dominion Conference Delegates from all parts of New Zealand were present at the New Zealand Alliance conference in Wellington on Friday. The president, the Rev. J. R. Blanchard, presided. Regret was expressed at the resignation of Mr. J. Malton Murray from the office of general secretary, and the standing committee was instructed to send Mi’. -Murray a letter of appreciation of his services. It was also decided to take steps to secure a general superintendent for organisation and administrative work. The meeting expressed its pleasure at the efforts being made by the Minister of Transport. Hon. R. Semple, in regard to liquor and motoring and liquor in public works camps. The standing committee was tn structed to review the general position iu regard to drinking among Maoris with a view to representations being made to the Government.
