Readings for the Week As it is the practice in a number of schools for the majority of the children t" assemble for Scripture readings once a week, the New Zealand Bible-in-Sehools League is recommending to parents of pupils a course of Scripture readings with memory work while the schools are closed. An endeavour is also being made to have a short lesson included in the broaden't lessons. Th following .re the lessons prepared for this week :— Bible readings:—Juniors: The Story of Joseph.—Genesis, chapter 37. Tuesday, verses 12 to 17; Wednesday, verses 18 to 22; Thursday, verses 23 to 35; Friday, verse 20, to chapter 40 verse l . Seniors: The Life " Jesus. — Monday, Luke, chapter 2, verses 8 to 20; Tuesday, Matthew, chapter 2, verses 1 to 15; dnesday, Luke, chapter 2, verses 25 to 32; Thursday, Luke, chapter verses 40 to 52; Friday, Matthew, chapter 3, verses 1 to 12. '* Memory work :■ -Primers: The Lord's Prayer, Matthew, chapter 6, verses 9 to 11. Standard 1 : Matthew, chapter 11, verses 28 to 30. Standard 2 Mark, ehapte 10, verses 13 to 16. Standard 3: The Books of the New Testament (Matthew to Galatians) : Standard 4: Psalm 8, verses 1 to 4. Standard 5 (Form 1) : Isaiah, chapter 53, verses 1 to 4. Standard 6 (Form 2): Proverbs,• chapter 3, verses 13 to 18.
