Hans Christiansen, a youth, made a confident plea of not guilty at the Magistrate’s Court, Palmerston North, yesterday, to a charge of operating a car at night without sufficient lights on the ground that the offence was committed not on the date he was charged but two days before. Senior-Sergeant W. O’Donnell had the information amended accordingly, and Christiansen was fined £1 and costs 12/- by Mr. J. L. Stout, S.M. Larrikins have broken all the windows with what appear to be pea-rifle bullets, smashed the door and broken the faces of two pressure gnages at the city pumping station in Jickell Street, Palmerston North.
