Raetihi Sale At the Raetihi sale on Thursday Freeman R. Jackson and Co., Ltd., offered over 3000 sheep, mostly lambs, and 229 head of cattle. Lambs' appreciated fully 2/- per head. All classes of sheep met a ready demand at enhanced prices. An average of 20/8 was obtained for a line of 700 wether lambw offered on account of Mr. Reg Collier. Best ewe lambs, 29/6, 30/- to 31/9; small ditto, 25/1 to 26/-; inferior, 24/1 to 24/9; tail-ends from 22/1 up. Fair wether lambs, 19/to 21/-; medium sorts, 16/8 to 18/6: small, 13/4 to 16/9. Small b.f. lambs, 12/10. Two-tooth wethers, 24/10 to 25/9. Sound-mouth ewes R.R., 29/3; inferior sorts, 23/6 to 24/6; culls, 19/6. Cattle: 20-inonth steers, £5/8/- to £6 11/-; small yearling steers, £3/14/- to £4/6/-; inferior, £3; 20-inonth heifers, £4 to £4/10/-; small, £3/9/6; small yearling heifers. £2/2/- to £2/11/-; ditto Jersey cross, 34/- to £2/2/-; cows with young calves at foot, £4. £4/3/- to £5; coloured and inferior, £3/3/-; boner cows and bulla at full works rates.
