In a Rugby football practice match at Lyall Bay, A. O'Connor received a fractured leg and was taken to hospital by the Free Ambulance. G. Reynolds, who was injured in the Old Boys v Hutt Rugby match, and carried off, suffered from a very severe rick of the neck, anilvAnties, another Old Boys player, who was carried off before the end of the first spell, broke a blood vessel in his ankle and was taken to hospital.
