Woman Flies Channel (From “The Dominion,” April 18. 1912.) Miss Quimby, an American, acroplaned from Dover to Boulogne. She is the first woman aviator to fly across the Channel. Ideal weather conditions prevailed for the opening day of the Wellington .Racing Chib’s autumn meeting. The Thompson Handicap was won by Gipsy Belle.
