LATE HEWS
REPORT OF MUTINY Ship’s Donkeyman Attacked By Fireman (Received April 19, 12.30 a.m.) New York, April 18. The owners of the ship Lackenby, on which it was reported on Friday a mutiny had occurred, one being killed and five injured, have now received a cablegram from the captain:— “Apparently the fireman Poole attacked the donkeyman Seymour, who knocked him down, allegedly in selfdefence. Poole died some hours later, owing, I believe, to excessive consumption of rum. This was the sole incident. Otherwise the crew’s behaviour has been excellent.”
