Armour, has issued the following further instructions for the guidance of pupils doing lesson® at home:— (1) Where the assignment of work ifi not definitely divided into two sections, pupil® are expected to send in half of the work set on Tuesdays and the other half on Fridays. Divide the work approximately into two portion®, but finish the work of any subject before it is sent in. The main thing is to send in work twice per week. (2) Keep a note of any general reading done iu addition to the assignments, making brief comments, including impressions formed. These notes are to be kept and not forwarded with assignments. (3) In matters of urgency only, masters may be communicated with at their private telephone addresses for advice re aswgnments, but the telephone must be used only at a time convenient for masters. Probably the best time will be between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. (4) In prose work and sentence work ‘ in languages, especially Latin and French, pupils are asked to write on alternate lines, so as to leave space for correction®. This will be a convenience both for masters and pupils.
