The Tasmanian Labour Government is planning the appointment of Government medical practitioners In outlying districts where patients moy be treated free by doctors having the status of civil servants.

The Premier, Mr. H. A. Ogilvie, is convinced that people in isolated areas defer visits do centres where medical attention is available, or refrain from calling a doctor because of the expense.
