Proposal to Appoint a Minister Withdrawn
A proposal that a Minister of Propaganda be appointed by the Government was one item on the agenda of the Labour Party conference.
The suggestion emanated from the Hokitika branch of the parly as a remit which went to the education committee of the conference.
The committee, reporting back to the full conference yesterday, advised that the branch had asked permission to withdraw the remit. The conference agreed to this course.
