DEADLY MOTOR TORPEDOBOATS

"Dominion” Special Service.—By Air Mail. London, March 13. A deadly small vessel is to be added to the British Navy iu large numbers. It is known as a motor torpedo boat and it is little bigger than the motorboats in which seaside visitors are taken for tours “round the bay.” But it carries a torpedo tube and two torpedoes. Ultimately it is intended to have hundreds of them. The boats cost about £125,000 each—which sounds a lot for a little craft, but as they can sink £8,000,000 dreadnoughts, the Admiralty thinks they may prove one of the cheapest investments ever made.
