Ten people were killed and 60 injured when the Paris-Hendaye express hurtled down an embankment into a small stream near Dax. 92 miles southwest of Bordeaux. The embankment bad been weakened by floods. Dax is an inland watering place of France, with a population of 12.000. Its waters and mud baths are noted as being good for rheumatism and neuralgia.
