Compulsory Retirement at 75 Urged Washington. Mareli 26. Senator Edward R. Burke (Democrat. Nebraska) has introduced an amendment to the Constitution for the compulsory retirement of judges at the age of 75. Ratifying conventions by States will lie required within six months.

The Governors of Alabama, Georgia. Louisiana and South Carolina, broadcast it joint endorsement of President Roosevelt’s Supreme Court proposal. “It is constitutional, usual, simple and lite only practical and effective way for the people to obtain their wishes through a Government which they created to promote their welfare.” the Governors said.
