NAVAL OFFICER’S ARRIVAL
Taking Command of H.M.A.S. Australia
Captain H. G. Dyke Acland,” D. 5.0., R.N.. arrived at Wellington from Southampton by the Mataroa yesterday, to take command of H.M.A.S. Australia on April 5. He will relieve Captain H. A. Forster, M.V.O. Captain Acland. who commanded the
Ist Minesweeping Flotilla in 1934 35, has had service in the Royal Navy iu various parts of the world, including China and the Mediterranean. It is his first voyage to these waters. His last appointment was with the Minesweeping Flotilla, which also undertook tlie protection of the British fishing fleets along parts of England's coastline.
